Duties and responsibilities

Psychiatric technicians, sometimes called mental health technicians, typically do the following:

·         Observe patients’ behavior, listen to their concerns, and record their condition

·         Lead patients in therapeutic and recreational activities

·         Give medications and other treatments to patients, following instructions from doctors and other medical professionals

·         Help with admitting and discharging patients

·         Monitor patients’ vital signs, such as their blood pressure

·         Help patients with activities of daily living, including eating and bathing

·         Restrain patients who may become physically violent

Education

Psychiatric technicians typically enter the occupation with a post secondary certificate. Programs in psychiatric or mental health technology are commonly offered by community colleges and technical schools

Pharmacy Technicians work in pharmacies under the direction of a pharmacist.  Their main responsibility is filling prescriptions according to doctors' orders for patients.

Students should take math, science, and typing courses in high school. Begin pharmacy technician training

Duties and responsibilities:

Pharmacists compound, or prepare, prescriptions written by physicians, dentists, and other practitioners.  They review these prescriptions to validate their accuracy and then prepare the medication.  This can involve weighing, measuring, and mixing drugs.  Once the compounds are prepared, pharmacists then dispense them to customers and patients. 

Salary: $33,000 - $51,000

Education

Students should take the most challenging high school classes available in English, science, and math. 

I don't think i want to be a Pharmacist because what if  i mess up and i don't want to risk messing up by giving the correct medician
